INTRODUCTIONS:

Alex was born in the northeast region of China, but received his education in the great city of Beijing. He graduated from the prestigious Beijing University. With a bright mind and a strong background in Chinese culture and civilization, Alex entered the society of a renewed China and achieved his goal in the business world.

His love of sword came accidentally.  Some twenty-years ago, Alex had a chance to travel in the French country side.  He spotted a beautiful Arabian sword in a rich businessman's home as he was invited there to be a dinner guest. It is so magnificently beautiful that even to this date, Alex could not erase the image of the sword from his mind.

Now twenty-years later, Alex has endlessly devoted his energy and time to pursue his love of sword.  In China, he has traveled from the coast to the inland, and visited every city and village where swords of high quality were reported.  Alex also took time to travel around the world not only to visit museums but also to spend time with local collectors. 

In recent years, Alex has started to write expert's view of Chinese sword for newspapers and magazines. In addition to many writings in Chinese, English articles appeared in "Kungfu and Taichi", published in San Francisco and "Collection and Auction", published in Guangzhow examples are as follow:

Alex has received interviews on local and national stations including Central China Television, Beijing Television, Guangdong Province Television, Guangzhou Television. For each appearance, Alex gave his view on swords - evaluation, examination, and appreciation.

Year 2007, a major book on Chinese sword was published by Alex, "IRON AND STEEL SWORDS OF CHINA".  This book offers a systematic introduction of this complex and illustrious topics.  Descriptions and evaluations are given in the book to every important sword.  With his strong background in history and civilization, Alex discussed the shift of functions of swords through history and the reflection of the shift with time in the form and style, design and decoration, production and materials used of swords.  It is the most complete treatment of Chinese swords published in recent years. The color and the texture of the photographs and pictures in the book are of the highest quality and can only be matched by the sword itself.  Alex's book has received excellent reviews by Wenhui Book Review, Bizmodo, Beijing News, and others.

Alex is now widely recognized in China as a "Sword Expert".  Furthermore, Alex is an expert with a rare combination of a historical view and an analytical mind.
